Julianne Bourne is a Musician and Composer from the Midlands of the UK. She is as well respected for her Classical and Orchestral/String Ensemble projects as she is for her performing and recording work with dance and rock/indie bands such as The Twang, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, The Rosadocs, The Sherlocks and acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Alex Ohm, amongst many others.
Her debut album of original classical influenced compositions ‘Silvaglyph and Other Stories‘ was released in November 2022 and quickly gained strong support. Two of her pieces are currently play listed daily on Scala Radio‘s Women Composers’ channel and she was also asked to score the music for Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler‘s ‘Monkey Puzzle‘ Story Book – an interactive music and dance project which premiered in Autumn 2022 at Birmingham Symphony Hall.
Julianne’s work is published by Brighton’s Full Thought Publishing – an off shoot of cult record label Tru-Thoughts – who, on hearing her first finished works, offered her a deal on the spot. She is now a (Publishing) stablemate of such luminaries as Quantic and Bonobo and the Hot 8 Brass Band. Her 4 track EP ‘Hello Tantalus‘ was released on all digital platforms on Friday August 4th 2023 and gained much support globally from Spotify listeners and play listers. After a very busy summer performing and recording with other artists, she released a taster track ‘RILEY LANE‘ a taster track of her new album ‘WOMAN of EYAM‘ due for release in early 2024.
